Thank you for sharing (and for listening). Unfortunately, there are many instances like the one you described, where people's lives are upended simply because they are doing their jobs. I'm all for standing up against racism (of all kinds), but the fact that many use racism as an excuse to absolve themselves from responsibility or decency is what I find infuriating, actually.
