Atheist and humanist groups and organisations have been an abject failure in rationally examining and critiquing current, fashionable causes.
It has become a fancy club for those who enjoy hating Christianity, rather than actually opposing dogmatic, ideological beliefs, supporting scientific enquiry and promoting free speech and the exchange of ideas.
Without religion people tend to develop religious tendencies in other areas. Talk to almost anyone who loves Ayn Rand and they have religious fervour, environmentalists likewise particularly those who have climate science concerns.
One might add that Dawkins simply said “discuss” the issue of transracialism…..open inquiry in my view is a must for humanism…….a glance at historical understanding of complex issues reveals : change ……..dogma included….
