A Gift Without Strings Attached
We are delighted to offer our subscribers a special discount this September.
Earlier this year, The North Face clothing brand offered its customers 20% discount but with one condition: they had to complete an online DEI course to improve their "allyship" with "people of colour" who may not have "access" or feel safe when they are outdoors. In other words, the offer was contingent upon adopting a specific ideological stance, with the company leveraging its discount as a tool to push a particular social agenda.
At The Equiano Project, we believe in a different approach —one that encourages open dialogue, critical thinking, and the exploration of ideas without preconditions.
In light of this, we're excited to announce a very special offer for all of our free subscribers, and guess what? No strings attached. No courses to complete, no hoops to jump through—just a straightforward discount for those who appreciate thoughtful discussions on current affairs and pressing issues, with a focus on common humanity, freedom, and universalism.
Our Substack is dedicated to presenting alternative yet nuanced arguments on contemporary issues. We aim to challenge sensationalism and divisive rhetoric, especially on topics related to race and identity.
We remain grateful to all our subscribers for interacting with and supporting our work. Your readership and thoughtful interactions have been instrumental in cultivating a community of critical thinkers and open-minded individuals.
This discount is a gesture of appreciation and an opportunity for those who wish to support us further.
Throughout September, all of our free subscribers can enjoy a 30% discount on our monthly and annual plans for a full year.
Claim your discount by September 30, 2024.
Here’s why some of our current subscribers chose to upgrade:
"The Equiano Project is making a much needed, vital and thoughtful contribution to today's highly charged discussions around race.” - Mark T
"Your website does not just condemn the moral, philosophical, and intellectual blinders of identity politics, it also has the courage to transcend them. I am a fan." - Bayles
"It gives me hope and inspiration to know there are others willing to offer an alternative view to the predominant (and I believe divisive) discourse on race and identity, based on critical race theory. I am so grateful to the Equiano Project." - Shelley A
I have been aware of, and supported your work on a genuine multiculturalism that is considered and balanced, and is values based, with an alignment to Christian culture and values. It is really worth supporting and preserving. The the global common good. Thanks! - Peter M
Well, I'm very happy to be a paying subscriber - it's not a huge amount of money in the scheme of things and it's a good feeling to be chipping in and supporting such an important project.
If I pay to subscribe, will I still be censored if I want to submit articles for publication on the website? I can't see much point otherwise. Furthermore, do you give concessionary prices for disabled long term unemployed people? Without a concession I may not feel able to afford it as I may feel there's potential discrimination against disabled people based on definite refusal to acknowledge the difficulties we face. Please respond.
